Testimonials

As an educator with 25 plus years of experience  I can attest to Lisa’s unique abilities to work with teens, young adults and families. Lisa has consistently demonstrated deep expertise, compassion, and dedication to supporting students with special needs as they transition into adulthood. I frequently consult with her on complex cases because I trust her judgment, experience, and practical solutions. She is not only knowledgeable, but also incredibly generous with her time and support. Her new consulting business is a natural extension of the work she has always done so well, and I have no doubt she will make a powerful impact on students, families, and educators alike.

Dawn Perrotti - Special Education Teacher, Co-worker

I had her since 6th grade and she was always there for me. She would always read with me after lunch to give me time with her, and she was the one who taught me how to write emails to teachers. She was always patient, kind, and very helpful. I can do all the things I do now because Mrs. Hurley taught me how.

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), I have had the privilege of working closely with Lisa Hurley for nine years, and I can confidently say that she is an outstanding educator, especially in her ability to help individuals with disabilities acquire the life skills necessary to thrive independently. Lisa’s expertise in working with students with diverse needs is unparalleled, and her ability to not only teach her students the skills they need to be successful in high school, but also help continue the progress by very thoughtfully designed transition planning is remarkable.

One of Lisa’s greatest strengths is her ability to develop individualized plans that directly align with the specific long term goals of each student. Whether it's daily living skills, vocational training, or social skills, she has a remarkable talent for breaking down complex tasks into manageable steps and ensuring that each student experiences consistent success.

I have been especially impressed with her capacity to implement and manage Behavior Intervention Plans. She actively carries them out with a level of precision and consistency that leads to observable, and sustainable progress. Most importantly, throughout working with Lisa, she maintains compassion, collaboration, and professionalism with everyone she interacts with.

Given her extensive experience, deep knowledge base, and unwavering dedication to her students’ success, I have no doubt that Lisa will be incredibly successful in her consultation business. "

I was first introduced to Lisa when my youngest daughter, ‘D’ , was in her special education class in middle school . Lisa was such a calming presence for ‘D’ and really understood her needs . ‘D’ has autism and struggles with OCD and anxiety. When Covid hit, Lisa helped navigate the very difficult task of remote learning . If there was a need , Lisa made sure to make it happen . We leaned on her for so much during that time and she never let us down.

‘D’ had Lisa again in her senior year of high school which was a huge comfort to me and ‘D’ . We were truly blessed to have Lisa help us navigate through transitions and to be a guiding force in ‘D’s’ educational journey .

To this day, Lisa has reached  out to check in on ‘D’ to see how she is doing. She really cares about her students and wants the best for each and every one of them.
